Capitol Prague, a Czech and Slovak restaurant and bar, opened its cafe over the weekend in Georgetown. The restaurant portion will open in the next couple of weeks. Gov. Bob McDonnell today announced that he will host the Governor’s Small Business Summit in Richmond Wednesday, June 5, 2013. The Summit is co-hosted by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and will be held during ‘Business Appreciation’ week in Virginia. Steve Blank pities those poor professors stuck teaching tired business plan courses. Blank is at the forefront of a growing movement of B-school professors teaching the next generation of Mark Zuckerbergs. Entrepreneurship, he argues, is about getting out into the world and doing—not simply researching and writing. Companies who need office space but don't want to sign a lease have a new option in Annapolis. BusinessSuites announced that it has opened a location at the Annapolis Towne Centre, with 45 offices and three conference rooms. A new Japanese restaurant Yuzu opened Monday, April 29, in the former Divino spot at 7345 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda. The six student and faculty finalist teams in the new University of Maryland Business Model Challenge won't be writing business plans or making investor pitches. Business plan pitches are dead.
