From around the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area comes the latest business news and announcements. The Food Truck craze is coming to Georgetown. Casey's Food Court, at 903 N. Church St., will open April 5 and will feature five or six trailers serving tacos, cupcakes, barbecue and other eats. Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO and now a member of the corporate board of trustees for George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, told a business group in Silicon Valley this week that women are being ‘underutilized” as resources to address many of the world's problems, and that the priorities in most women's lives involve improving the lives of their children. University of Maryland Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson was among 25 distinguished honorees to be selected by the Washington Business Journal as a Minority Business Leader on Thursday afternoon at a luncheon at the Washington Hilton Hotel. Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business will launch the school’s Global Business Initiative with “Georgetown McDonough Leading Through Global Learning,” featuring a keynote address from Mark Del Ross, chief operating officer for Audi of America. BioHealth Innovation Inc. in Rockville is launching a program to help small life sciences companies in Central Maryland land more government grants. Hollister Inc., a company that makes medical devices, will invest $29.6 million to upgrade machinery and expand its Augusta County factory. The project will include 50,000 square feet of additional warehouse space and new equipment to automate processes, enhance products and increase production volume.
